Diary of an Edinburgher

By LadyMarchmont

New pathway (steep!)

We all went up Blackford Hill today, and up a new (to me) path. Very steep steps, but easy once up at the top, with nice views of Arthur’s Seat and the Allotments down below. (Extra)

We came round by the paddock, where Archie ran between us till he got too hot’n’bothered. As we walked back past the Duck Pond, he (predictably) stopped at the gate and indicated that was his preferred route. But no sign of the cygnets - they must have been on the island - and no heron either.

I drove home, as we were expecting a delivery. Even if there had been no delivery, I would have driven there and back.

Actually, we had the best of the day, as it turned a bit drizzly in the afternoon. But no worries - audiobook and snoozing for me, audiobook and ironing for JR.

Exciting day tomorrow involving wheels. And not just car wheels.
