Secret Vegetable Garden

I just glimpsed this through the hedge on our walk this afternoon. There was a couple of rows of artichokes, or maybe cardoons and several lines of bean sticks. The area was completely surrounded by trees and big shrubs and had several climbing roses within the growing area. It looked loved and cared for but in a shabby chic sort of way
It was quite muggy this afternoon and a bit misty; maybe this added to the gardens appeal. It didn't look like a place to provide lots of produce, it looked like a place to go and sit and listen to the birds and bees.
