Getting back to normal

A regular trip out with visitors is to Cookies Crab Shack  in Salthouses.. It is a very small shop with an equally small out house next to it and it is famous for two things. The seafood is excellent and ridiculously cheap and the staff are abrupt at best, the owner rude, sarcastic, abrasive and totally lacking in people skills. On both counts I find it is a wonderful place, think Fawlty Towers but with good food.
We have not visited for a couple of years but reading the recent reviews (poor service, rude and unhelpful staff) we were anticipating service as usual. We were therefore very disappointed to find Mr. Cookies (no idea of his real name) chatty, helpful and possibly smiling behind his mask. The food was still good but the unique nature of the place was missing.
We will go again when, hopefully, normal service will have resumed
