A list to Starboard.

I noticed, last year I think it was, that for 1-2 years on the trot I'd shot the Buddleja Alternifolia on the same date; so today I nipped out to perpetuate the ritual.  Way back, when we bought it, the mutual decision was made to standardise it.
At Alice's suggestion we used a bird-feeder pole to facilitate it.  I noticed the "String" holding it upright had finally deteriorated.  I never, as a rule, liked the "Best seen large" mantra, please yourself, but I'm going to do it this time to see if I can see the line(s) of the trunk and the pole before I re-attach it.
Yet again I wish we had Smellivision; I got my first "whiff" of it as I opened the front door.  I have a sneaky suspicion it's earlier than previous years, so I'll have to nip back and check.  Under Sodde's Law my original is bigger than the "Large" = Foiled again as the Turkey said on Christmas morning; but I can see the two lines.
