A Broad-barred White
I'm told, by a chap who knows these things (and who told me that yesterday's nest was a goldfinch's).
The geranium is in the centre of our back garden and the moth was having its daytime snooze when we picked the flowers and used my new soft box to take its photo.
I found that the lighting, either natural, through the sides of the softbox or artivicial, from the LED strip in the softbox, was insufficient to hand-hold the camera with no image stabilisation. So I had to use either a tripod or a stabilised lens. The latter was quicker, a Fuji XF16-80 ƒ4 lens which I'm finding increasingly useful.
