A Punky Day
My Dear Princess and Dear Fellows,
Punky enjoys his life here in Paraparaumu. I mean, he's always been a fairly happy sort of chap, but he really seems to love this house. It has a surfeit of sunbeams and the little black and white fellow loves to roll in the sun with his legs in the air.
Today he made the most of it. He capered up and down stairs, purring happily. He played with his toys; he rolled on the carpet, he begged a piece of chicken off my plate. He's been just delighted with himself.
Jasper, meanwhile, also made the most of Sunday. I walked him on his leash and he once again had a Mexican cat-off with the tabby next door. I'm sure it is fascinating for him, but from my perspective it's a bit boring. Sitting and staring and staring and staring. It took about 30 minutes before the tabby sloped off and Jasper relaxed his tail.
Caro took the opportunity to watch lots of documentaries. She's now watched all of "Murder in the Outback" which I believe has been a bit of a sensation in the UK. We also watched part two of "Laurel Canyon" and The Battered Bastards of Baseball, which could be one for Mr. Auslaender.
In between she took cuttings from our manuka shrub, in the hope that she can re-plant them once we get our new garden. I'm not sure about this, but it made her happy. So all three of them had a lovely Sunday. But Punky probably had the punkiest day of all.
