up on the hills but not far away

Overcast and windy changed to hot and humid as I lost track of time for the first time in many weeks.

Good to see the birds many Pipits and some Skylarks, Curlews and Snipe (1) , Sand Martins and Swallows but the highlight was a Male Merlin.

Butterflies Large Skipper ( Extra photo), Small Heath, Red Admiral and Small Tortoiseshell.
