Cat and Mouse

Scottish sprinters John Paul (a rising star) and Craig MacLean (right) playing cat and mouse in the heats of the Revolution Series Elite Cycling at the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome in Glasgow. Despite being one of the fastest human events, track sprinting involves going very slow and even stopping - "track standing" - to gain a competitive edge in terms of position for the final explosive burst of speed.

Another sell out crowd and another great evening of sport at the velodrome. Unfortunately I had to leave before the final sprint event - Scotland v Rest of The World - in order to go and catch the train at Brigton. Once Dalmarnock station reopens transport to the velodrome will be better. Oh and we got beat in that final event :(
