Female Goosander Red-breasted Merganser on the River Ness. Not so close today, but a telephoto lens and heft cropping makes it seem otherwise. Of course taking a telephoto lens, meant that the seals mentioned yesterday, weren't anywhere to be seen.

Received a letter on Tuesday from Virgin Media, saying that they'd received my letter of complaint, and would look into the matter. And I should expect a reply in the next fortnight. After an extended swim tonight, I arrived home fairly late and worn out, to find another letter. Naively I hoped they'd have resolved things, and  would be enclosing a cheque. Nope. Not from the complaints department, this one. No, a demand for prompt payment of £31, or else they'll basically be sending the bailiffs around, and blacklisting my credit status. If I were to say, "I wasn't best pleased," that would be a more than a slight exaggeration. If you heard a bang, that was probably me hitting the roof! For some reason they're now looking for eleven pounds less than before. Perhaps it was just as well that I opened the letter long after their phoneline had closed for the night.

Their claim is for telephone and broadband supply for December and January. As I switched supplier in early November, as they confirmed in  (fortunately kept) e-mails, they actual owe me money. That was also confirmed by one of their telephone operatives, in one of many recent calls...

I'm too tired to loose any sleep over it (and this is back-Blipped for much the same reason!).
