Swizz
I got excited when I saw a biplane approaching, I'm missing the flying displays that I usually attend each year. It was a bit of a disappointment when the aircraft got closer. From a distance it looks like a Hawker Fury from the 1930s. It's actually an Isaac's Fury, a homebuilt biplane designed by John Isaacs as a seven-tenths scale replica of the Hawker Fury fighter.
I got a mediocre shot of a sparrowhawk but have posted it as I've rarely seen one perched. Jack heron was stationed in the gum tree and the tatty mallards are entering eclipse but still able to fly. I've included the silhouette of a robin that accompanies MrQ when he's rooting around in rubbish and a meadow grasshopper on an ox-eye daisy.
