Emu

Before going to the Featherdale Wildlife Park in Sydney, most of what I knew about emus came from the entertainer Rod Hull, whose mute puppet Emu was insanely aggressive. The one I have blipped is not behind bars, as would befit an aggressive bird - the bars are behind it. It and I are on the same side of the bars, and yet with amazing courage, I brought my camera out and took its portrait. I would say it is none too pleased. Nevertheless, I was unmolested.
