Kangaroo Apple Berries

It took a while to work out what these were, but the plant ID app helped. The berries are poisonous when green, but can be eaten when ripe, and they have traditional medicinal uses. The extra, a dandelion, fits today’s challenge and I’d be happier to eat it. Both were growing along the Cooks River at Canterbury. In fact, it seems there’s a lot I could forage there if I forget my lunch.
