First of the Year

Late last year Mrs. JB decided that she was fed up looking at a few daffodils in the gardens so she invested in a big tub of bulbs and went about sowing them all over the place. They are now well and truly up but none actually blossoming yet except for this little refugee. It got damaged in the wind and in trying to straighten it up the stalk simply broke, so into the house with it, where the warmth brought it to bloom for us. Meanwhile all its brothers and sisters in the gardens are still quite green.
