A Wild Beaver Again
Another visit to the River Otter this evening after my thrilling encounter with about half a dozen or more different individuals last night.(I will add more text to yesterday's blip later)
Although I saw one of the two year olds as well tonight I have only blipped the adult female.
Arriving at the lodge about 5.30pm, with huge thunder clouds disappearing in the opposite direction, we sat on the bank waiting for some activity. After an hour I was beginning to think that my experience yesterday wasn't going to be repeated.
Walking further along the river we suddenly heard some chomping and there was the adult female enjoying some food while out of the water.
For the next hour I was able to capture some wonderful images, a few of which I have put in extras.
She has small kits back in her lodge but at present they will remain hidden.
I will return several times again I suspect during the summer. Even without the beavers, it is a wonderful place to sit and watch the river.
