Stay alert

That is the street tonight. Lovely walk before breakfast and then decided to head off to the canal mid morning as rain was forecast for the afternoon. It was warm and very quiet, only passed a couple of people walking and four cyclists. Hetty seems to be fine in the car, I was concerned that after so long she would not want to go in it but she is fine. I did another flow yoga session this afternoon, really enjoying it and think I might do a class when the gym opens again.
We were having a coffee in the garden room and the rain started, it was really heavy and the bird bath was filled quickly, then the patio was a large puddle, then my phone started pinging and the message started from the WhatsApp group for the street. The first message was number 11 garden flooded, then 13, then 17. It’s never flooded the house but it does go into the basement and cuts the power, so we readied ourselves. The pinging stopped at 33, next door. The rain stopped. If it starts again during the night we will be up.
