Lathyrus Odoratus

Two flies

A Common Blue damselfly on one side of the stick and a Twin-lobed Deer Fly on the other. The damselfly kept returning to the same spot while the deer fly remained in place. I didn't see the outcome of this encounter but I wondered whether the damselfly was eyeing it up as a potential meal, although I suspect it would be too big for a damselfly to prey on.
