WITH A SONG IN MY HEART

Please Make Him Stop!

This morning after Frank had walked Bella and I had done my exercises we got ready to go to the boat. Getting ready for me meant sorting out certain plants. I had to repot 2 cucumber seedlings - better late than never - the previous ones withered. I put 3 tomato plants outside - they had an attack of aphids so I sprayed them with diluted washing up liquid and now hope they'll survive the cold, wet and windy weather till we go back in a few days. I put the other 2 tomato plants in the boot to take to the boat. They are a short and very bushy heritage variety and have lots of flowers and baby toms on them. They are now in the shower on the boat.
We ended up having a cup of tea and Marmite toast for an early lunch before leaving for the boat.

It started raining as soon as we arrived here and hasn't stopped all afternoon.
I've been reading and Frank was playing guitar.
When we're on the boat Bella wants to be outside all the time. I told her it was raining, which she understands but she still wanted out. The Blip is her pleading with Frank to shut up and open the door for her. She looks at me as if to say 'Can you get him to stop and let me out?'
In the end we gave in and she sat out in the rain wildlife spotting for ages then asked to come in because she was soaking. She was dried off and lay down by the fire - which at that point wasn't even lit. It is now though!
It's so cold and wet out there. It's the Summer Solstice tomorrow!

Our local news said there is a fresh Covid out break in a West York's meat processing factory (Kirklees I think) so they have closed it temporarily.
Just goes to show - it doesn't take much for a flare up.

Take care, stay safe. :-)
