Clerodendrum trichotomum......Vivid.

I love this tree. It is also called “Harlequin Glorybower”. I believe it is regarded as a weed these days as it spreads by suckers. We had one growing in a previous garden. This one here is at the very end of its season. The little purple seed in the middle of each red cluster have gone and the red clusters are now falling to the ground. The clusters of flowers in late summer are gloriously fragrant and lovely to photograph.
