Hay Meadow

We saw there were hay meadows near Ravenstonedale . They should be at their best at this time of year.  That's good, it's not in the Lakes, maybe it will be empty. It was, as quiet as a mouse. 
I'd read that the Cumbria Wildlife Trust have very recently been gifted some meadows at Bowberhead Farm. We found the farm but no hay meadows. Luckily the CWT leaflet showed meadows also at Piper Hole so we carried on for another few km and  that's where this picture was taken. Shame it was not sunnier.
