Roses
We are making a change at the end of the garden beside the road. Currently there a couple of Chamaecyparis lawsoniana "Lanei Aurea" a Silver Birch, Kolkwitzia and a Philadelphus. They nicely block the view into the garden but were growing too far out onto the pavement. Our fault for having too herctic a lives and not trimming them properly.
So they are being seriously cut back and a holly hedge being planted between them and the road. Today we started on the task. So why did I blip wild roses. Well in among the Lanei branches there has been this Rose which appeared all of it own. Probably from a seed in bird droppings. This shot of some of the flowers seemed an appropriate record of our days work.
