Over the Horizon

Fruit season

Tis summer in Central Otago.

Orchards full of apricots, cherries, plums, and peaches thrive in the warm, dry hills. And each Saturday morning farmers, artisans and producers sojourn to the coast to sell their wares at the farmer's market.

I tend to eat seasonally when I can. Lately I've been enjoying heaps of fresh apricots and plums. Fresh breads, honey, and eggs, all from the farmer's market.
