Jack in the bowl

It’s a wet breezy day with four cats indoors, Jack was roaming around and ended up in the wonderful bowl. Our greycat loves to lie in here, he starts off-lying in there and wriggles until all toys are on the floor. Jack is much smaller and fits in nicely.

The bowl:
Some years ago John came across a large log possibly brought down the river in a flood, he mentioned it to N our neighbour and between them brought it home to ‘rest’ and dry out. N makes beautiful wooden bowls and after cutting the log in half made us this splendid piece. It used to sit on a small table but when the youngsters arrived eighteen months ago we thought it safer on the floor and now that the cats have adopted it here it will stay for a while. And why do I keep their toys in here? It’s a pleasure to see Greyboy wriggle and play, he was a feral for the first six months of his life, it has taken a long time for him to relax and play. I doubt I could take a shot of him though, any movement in the room and he would be off, here we have Jack instead, a little darling.
