Midsummer Madness
I was so glad I managed to get out of bed early this morning, partly because I was so glad to see the back of a dismal Sunday, partly because it looked a nice day and lastly because, as it happened, I missed the wind and the rain which appeared later in the morning.
My blip will be as familiar to you as it is to me, but it a fine view from Braid Hills Drive looking NW over Edinburgh to the Fife Hills.
With all this pedalling up Comiston Road I am developing thighs akin to those of Chris Hoy. I like to think that is the reason and nothing to do with bowl licking and quality control tasting of baking.
Having been a latecomer to Poundland, you can’t keep me away from the place now, and I had a foray to the one in Princes Street after breakfast to get a plastic tub in which to store my mountain of medium oatmeal. As well as the tub I came away with 3 for2 balls of the most garish yarn you could imagine.
A bargain is only a bargain if you can use it gainfully. I’m thinking creatively.........
