Monday: #30DaysWild - Silverweed ...

... weekday mornings 9-11am Aled Hughes is on BBC Welsh language Radio, https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b075t5tc/episodes/player and has guests who talk about all sorts of interesting subjects. This morning a lady was talking about foraging, she mentioned “deilen arian”, which translates to silverweed https://britishlocalfood.com/silverweed/ - then as chance would have it I saw some in the car park when I went to Benllech. There’s a lot of it in my garden, I’ll sample it when it stops raining!!
On the way to Benllech I stopped to buy Anglesey New Potatoes and had a chat with the lady I know who’s there sometimes, felt normal ... but sadly Anglesey has had another COVID-19 outbreak at the chicken processing factory https://angleseymonnews.com/covid-19-cases-at-2-sisters-in-llangefni-rises-to-175/ maybe we’ll go into a stricter ...
This afternoon I worked on part of my family tree based in Christleton, Chester - so strange to think my mother’s family were there in the 1700s and 1800s, I lived nearby in the 1960s and walked around the village often without any knowledge of the link ...
Stay safe & healthy and happy everyone :-)
Nos da pawb / goodnight all xx
