The car count seems to be slowly drifting upward. Will it break the fifty barrier this week?

I started work today by taking the Bentley brake light switch apart. When Robert visited yesterday I showed him the Bentley and when I switched the electrics on the brake light indicator light came on and would not go out. I took it apart last year when we got back from Athens and I thought I'd fixed it. Today I was going to see if I could make a replacement myself but in the end fingers cross I think I have fixed the old one. At least it seems to be working. That is the small red light comes on each time I brake to let me know the brake lights are working. In between times I was still spraying the bedhead with thin coats of silk white. The next job on my non existant list was to underseal the Austin Seven so I jacked it up and placed it high on axle stands then removed all four wheels. The good thing about the Austin Seven is that it's small and everything is light and easy to handle. Infact there are only three wheel nuts per wheel. Once on the axle stands with wheels off I masked off some wires which I did not want to bury in underseal and then started the messy job of spraying the black goo. Being small it did not take long but it did devour four canisters of underseal. While the underseal was drying I cleaned off the wheels and sprayed them as I did with the Bentley with a rattle can of satin black I then blacked the tyres with tyre black. Unfortunately the undercoat had over sprayed the bodywotk in places which was not surprising as it was quite windy. This was not a problem as the underseal comes off easily with petrol although I did not use petrol as the Austin Seven is painted with Tekaloid an oil based paint which reacts to petrol so I used heating oil which is kinder to the paint but dissolves the underseal. With the underseal removed I refitted the wheels and the job was finished although having used heating oil on the bodywork it'll need another polish. By now it was time to knock off work so I bunged everything in the Motor House took the bedhead up to the house and put the Austin Seven back to sleep in the Black Garage. Looking back on the day I feel I have achieved a fair amount and look forward to another productive day tomorrow.
