Swab test ...and why I’m not going to do it!

I’ve been sent a home test Corona Virus kit as part of a government survey. It’s pretty horrendous. You need to rub your tonsils with a long stick 5 times for 10 seconds and then shove the stick up your nose till it hurts. The instructions note you may gag or experience discomfort.
The thought of voluntary tonsil poking makes me feel sick.
Rightly or wrongly I am therefore wimping out of this piece of scientific research!
