Stay cool

A balmy night. Managed to sleep until 5.30 then switched the fan on and slept until 8.55am.  Too hot for poor Murray though he does love a bask in the sun. He's been following me everywhere and accompanied me outside to hang up the washing, lay on the grass for a few minutes before having a huge drink. 
Had a WhatsApp session edith my Readeasy student after lunch. Decided to do a bit of cooking - bad idea - kitchen got too hot.
Blip of my west-facing kitchen window with my basil plants. I love the blind.  The name of the colour is Atlantic but I feel its more Mediterranean.  It gives a lovely, blue cooling glow to the kitchen on hot summer days like today.
