Cool of the day

Scorcher today! Put some washing out and tried to get Murray to sit in the shade but it was too hot for the poor boy. Lazed about indoors with blinds down and curtains closed to keep the house cool. It was successful as coming in from outside was refreshing.
Enjoyed a green party zoom call on aviation. Shocking figures - the UK has 25% of flights in Europe. Graphs indicating sharp rises in air travel.  Answers other than restrict flying is difficult  for some with family in far flung places.  Arctic circle temperatures at 40°C is ludicrous.
Sat out in the garden to enjoy the cool breeze and fading light when the pigeon arrived looking quizzical.
