Dog Day Afternoon

This old scamp can often be seen hanging around our neighbourhood, either trotting up and down the street or ralaxing outside this small office block.

We'd always assumed he was a stray, but then one day a man appeared and began to call him. We asked if the dog was his, he said yes, and that he'd rescued the dog from the streets.
He was a pretty cool guy who talked about how people and animals need to be friends and it's a shame so many people in the area disagree. Because the dog flat out refuses to be put on a lead, the man lets him wander around the area, and the pup will occaisionally poo somewhere without the man knowing. Many of the older residents are angry that the dog isn't chained up all day, and often let him know in no uncertain terms. Even my wife has been called out for this by some of the older residents, despite explaining that she always cleans up after her dog - even showing them the little plastic bags she carries.

The man brings the dog to work with him each morning, but lets it roam free as it hates to be couped up inside.
He mentioned that if he checks during the day, often the dog will be missing - but when he comes out of the office at six each evening, the dog is always sat patiently waiting for him.

This is as close as I've ever got to him, he never wags his tail when you approach and is totally indifferent to humans. Not completely sure what's going on in his canine head, I like to keep my distance.
