A splash of pink

Went into Edinburgh for a reasonably distanced walk with friends this morning. Their 3 year old had an appointment at sick kids as his weight has dropped the last couple of months and the want to check out that it’s nothing serious. He was very brave when they took blood and cane out clutching a new colouring book - all kids get a gift apparently.

We had a nice walk around the Meadows before the kids had a picnic lunch and ran off some energy. it was lovely to see them as it’s been months since we last got together.

Home for lunch and to sit in the garden reading my book in the sun.

Homemade pizza for tea before watching the National Theatre live on YouTube - A Midsummer Nights Dream. It’s pretty good.

Hoping to sleep better tonight as thunder is forecast which might clear the air a bit.
