Seals at Udale Bay

The day started nicely with a good sunrise. I was up and out in the garden early, very early. Sat and enjoyed a cup of fruity tea and then watered the garden as the pots were surprisingly dry even after all the rain. Really pleased , the peas are starting to form and the Broad beans too. The potato plants are huge !
Mike managed to get a card I liked for my Auntie from the Post Office . We went out after lunch to post it and then went to Newhall Point. The sun was out again by now and it was high tide. Saw a few terns but they were a long way out. Back to the hide and the Osprey was o it’s usual post and flew off heading towards the large trees behind Invergordon. We were just about to go when I spotted something in the water and asked Mike to stop. Glad we did as we were treated to the sight of this Common Seal and Pup , she thought about hauling out on the grass bank but changed her mind and they both swam away. They had to be my blip as I have never seen them there before.
It was such a lovely evening that we went for a little drive , probably a circular route of 5 miles. It was lovely, great views in all directions. A wonderful sunset to end the day .
