Finally!
Way back in February, we tried planting our sweet pea seeds in empty eggshells. The idea was that the whole thing could be planted out and the eggshell would simply break and rot away. However an unseasonably wet early spring (even by Glasgow standards) and then the dry weather since has proved difficult conditions and at one point we thought that we'd lost all the plants. However, much to our amazement (and a little work from Miraclegro) some have survived, are starting to really grow and today I caught sight of the first colour on the buds. Hoorah!
We were woken by very loud rolling thunder and heavy rain which lasted a good bit of the day, so it was only at 5 o'clock that L and I ventured out for a short walk. Delighted to report that the foot has improved and I'm now back to just the usual aches and pains in my ankle. Phew!
