Gluttony
For the past few days I've been watching this blackbird regularly feeding on the fatballs. He arrives from the front of the bungalow and stops on the top of the gate for a look around, then flies over to the fatballs. Immediately another blackbird scoots over from the side of the garden to chase it off. The inevitable wood pigeon also swoops down to pick up the dropped bits!
Way too hot today, reaching 30C at our nearest weather station at Weybourne, so as that is on the coast I suspect my thermometer was right at 32C. Good news, Bakers & Larners who own the Budgens site today opened a temporary post office in their department store in town staffed by those who did the job in Budgens. This was done in less that a week - well done B&L!
More stabbings today, this time in Glasgow - just terrible.
Day 103 / Day 95 of Lockdown / Day 26 of Step 2 (for my record only)
UK deaths up 184 to 43,414. The US sees a record daily increase of 39,676 cases. In Spain, Covid-19 traces have been found in a sample of waste water collected in Barcelona in March 2019. Coronavirus patients are dying at a lower rate than earlier in the pandemic (1.5% from 6%), lots of theories as to why but no proof. Appalling scenes as thousands of Liverpool fans ignored social distancing rules to celebrate winning the Championship. INTU goes into administration.
