Well, we got the blockage cleared but it was a close run thing - we put out 100m of hose down the garden at 124 (they were out!) and directly into the sewer and it only cleared in the last two metres. Phew. Note the ‘we’ - I was of course supervising.
Then I dug a large hole for the new flowering cherry. Replacing the old flowering cherry. This time I shall prepare the ground properly.
Then over to the boat and yowza - that heater burst into life. Hot air in the cabin! Winter sailing - can’t wait.
And feeling most satisfied, I did help myself to a little teatime pint. And later a bit of Greek scran and even Greek wine as we threw ourselves into the Glastonbury TV fest, beginning with Julien Temple’s film. From 2006 - and some quite ruffianly sorts were still in attendance. Rather like a beach, well, anywhere.
