Buddy, not Pinkie

I posted a photo of Pinkie in a local forum, only to be told by someone in the know that Pinkie is ‘Buddy’. He lives along with many other rescue birds in the Aviary in the Lower Gardens and seems extremely well looked after by volunteers.

I often pop by to say “hello“ to Joey, the parrot, and his 2 cage mates. We chat for ages, but then Mr B loses his rag and I reluctantly leave.

I don’t know if Buddy is a new addition, hadn't noticed him before. A gentleman pointed him out, saying how friendly he was. So next time I’ll have to chat with him too.

I am sure you agree Buddy is a silly name for this pretty pink bird, and know Admirer would have agreed. She would have loved this as a candidate for her Silly Saturday challenge.

Thanks to 60plus for hosting today’s SIlly Saturday. Admirer will always be in my thoughts when I post onSaturdays. RIP, and wish she could see all our blips today. Heartfelt sympathies to Tyn and Mischa.
