Faraway Friends

Had 2 lovely FaceTime catch ups today - one with Key (Kiara) from all the way in Canada, and one with Shannon back home. Was great to reminisce DTS memories with Key! Seems like a whole other world almost - so many new friends who became like family from around the world, and yet none of them known or met by my family and friends back home. Yet God is the one who knows each one - the people I love here and thousands of miles away - for longer than we’ve even known ourselves.

Gratefuls:

- watching the KXC livestream (my sister’s church) - the humility and openness in their leadership, and how they are fighting against racism starting from within their own church family.
- walks with Rebekah in the fresh open air, a relationship that is real with no pretenses or hiding. That isn’t needed where there is unconditional love.
- time spent journalling, helping me to keep track of my thoughts as I pray
- the wonderful relationships God has placed in my life, both new and old, and how He encourages me through them.
- being able to walk, run, dance, sing, speak, see, hear, laugh, pray, eat, swallow, meet with other Christians, sleep in a bed at night. Each one is a blessing, none that I’m entitled to. Thank you Lord for one more day you’ve given me to enjoy them!
