Friendly faces

Had a lovely visit from a friend today (not the one pictured, though he was also very friendly!) Took a good few hours to catch up everything we’d missed in each other’s lives the past 3 months! But was great to have another few hours after that, to go deeper than the catching up of life events. Quantity time often leads to quality time.
It takes time sometimes to build up trust, and to let our guards down. For the layers of conversation to be peeled back, and to begin to know a person for more than how they are seen by most.

Gratefuls:

- More time in my life this year, where catch ups are no longer confined by deadlines.
- The gift of friendship - the encouragement, enjoyment and wider perspective it brings. Especially that gift with friends who are so refreshingly different from us!
- The space there now is in London, with the streets being emptier. Getting to cycle through them with the sun set and the city closed - felt so freeing.
- Finding somewhere to relieve our bladders...relieve is a very accurate word!!
- Finding a little Greek place to get takeaway for dinner, and eating outside in probably the freshest London air for years!
