I timed my walk very nicely indeed today. I was going to go in the morning but before I got my jacket on there was a torrential downpour so I decided on waiting a while! I decided to go and see if I could find the seal on a tree. No seal but as I was taking a photo of some poppies this deer shot out, crossed this road and then I nearly had heart failure when it ran right in front of a van as it crossed the very busy street. Fortunately though it went off into the undergrowth of the river at the other side. Im not sure who got a bigger fright me or the deer!
