Yet another day of the unit being full. Of almost no one being deemed ready for discharge. Without a clear statement of why someone will be able to be discharged tomorrow or the next day, but certainly not today. I ask what is it that can't be done today, and the answer is usually a meeting is going to be held. It sounds like a staff focussed issue rather than a patient centred approach. Maybe I'm just tired from trying to energise my colleagues.

Came home needing to take a run, and had the time to do so. Went down past the Newton School, where a mural has been painted (by Paul Walsh). I like the coincidence provided by a passerby.
