New shoes

My boy is looking far too grown up in his new shoes. He took two steps yesterday so I think he's well on his way to walking properly. These aren't proper walking shoes, though, as I couldn't bring myself to get them yet. I might just have to cry when the time really does come.

P.S. He is making a lot of noise in this picture!

P.P.S. He said DaDa twice today when Daddy left the car to run into the shops. Could that have been his first proper words? I don't know! I'm not sure why I'm reluctant to acknowledge his first words- whether it's just so difficult to tell if he's speaking in context or just making noises which happen to be at the right time coincidentally, or whether I'm just not ready for a walking talking toddler!
