Finally

To the Civic Centre in Swinton this morning to collect a few things from on, in and around my desk. The first time I have visited the office since March - which is the month on display on the Peel Park calendar on the wall in the extra. The whole building is now strangely quiet. The people are no longer here. It all felt very odd.

On leaving the building, a surprise presentation, masked and socially distanced, and in the rain, Speeches, lovely things said, I found it quite moving.

I am now officially retired, I will have to get used to that word, It’s an odd one, because I have no intention of retiring from life.
