Rotorai sunset
Another full on day! A heavy frost this morning gave way to a beautiful crisp day. We headed over to Takaka just in time to entertain Esme for a bit before they went off to nursery and to give Joe a moment to have a shower - you forget just how all consuming looking after a toddler is, and she'd been awake on and off all night. Then it was to work, and we have worked! There is a lot of blue in evidence and round the side and the back there is a slightly different blue - my task for the day. I also rubbed down the original little gate and have given it an undercoat ready for a paint tomorrow. Joe was in charge of the main blue and Himself has been preparing all the woodwork for painting tomorrow - off white and a very dark blue! The boy likes blue! It is certainly cheerful.
We finished work at about 5pm and nipped down to Rototai to have a yomp on the beach. The tide was in, the sun was setting and the water was looking beautiful. There is an odd dark line on the horizon, something scientific going on I suspect.
On our way home we bought fish and chips - I know, it's not even Friday! They were excellent and we were ravenous.
More of the same tomorrow. Sorry, still not much chance for a catch up.
