Noctilucent Cloud.

On my way to bed I happened to glance out the front bedroom window and was surprised to see the sky like daylight. Rushed for camera and out the door in pjs and dressing gown(no shame) to record this phenomenon. They only appear at this time of year on a clear night. They are formed by ice crystals high up in the atmosphere, so high they can still catch the light from the sun well after sunset. It really was a wonderful sighting.
