River Dee

Today's the day ……………………. to look over the fence

It's not a bad view that we have, if you look over the garden fence.

That's the River Dee down there on its way to Kirkcudbright and then out to the Solway Firth.  You can see one half of the old Railway Viaduct on the other bank - which used to carry the line over the river until the Beeching Cuts of the 1960s.

The other half is in our garden …………………….
