A motorist stops at a ford.
He asks the old rustic sitting there " How deep is the water? "
" A couple of inches " he replies.
The motorist drives forward and disappears in a mass of seething bubbles.
" That's funny "  says the rustic to himself  " it only goes halfway up on them there ducks "
