More purple

We read that it's good to have some areas of short grass even though most of the grass is left long, because there are some insects and birds that prefer short grass.  So I mowed and strimmed an area today before it started to rain.  Already the Robin is much happier to dive onto the short grass for whatever he finds. 

Nothing particular to blip today, so a medley - MrHCB has grown some gorgeous arum lilies, here is the purple one; the Allium Giganteum has not quite finished; the Common Spotted Orchids are still flourishing; and the Red Kites are losing some of their feathers.
