Touch-Me-Not!
Impatiens capensis, Jewelweed, Touch Me Not, is part of the Balsam family of plants. Native to the north and the northeastern USA, it grows on lowlands. I'm not sure why its called Touch Me Not, as it's not poisonous and was used to relieve poison ivy and stinging nettle rashes.
I came upon it on a walk along a paved path through wetlands. It is quite a unique looking flower. The extra shows a larger view of the plant in its setting.
