No way !

Well I got all my togs on , ready for a walk in the rain that has been falling steadily all day but someone, not naming names, dug her paws in and refused to budge!
I know from past experience that there is no point in insisting as she won’t change her mind . One fair weather dog. 
A plodding sort of day rather than one of high energy. 
Caught up on Blip comments ( I think) , tidied , listened to music and supported a friend on and off all day as she navigated through the difficult task of explaining her situation to her boss . We have worked together for years and she is a compassionate and committed teacher who has health conditions which have meant she has been following the governments instruction to shield . The new guidelines mean that she can return to work if she  can socially distance so her timetable will need reviewing but it’s not easy to get a hearing . It felt good to use our union experience to encourage her to ask for what  she needed In a way that will hopefully produce the right result .
We are eating a lot of comfort food , for me this means mashed potatoes for Dave pizza, I find myself craving my mother’s cooking - is this significant I wonder ?
It can’t be that I would like to return to childhood because it wasn’t a time of life I enjoyed . 
I’m sure that tomorrow will be a brighter day , one way or another.
