This is Glasgow Central Station early Saturday afternoon, one of the busiest hubs in Scotland. The UK's Covid-19 hospital death toll has risen by 44 today (zero in Scotland). Weekend figures are usually lower, but with the R rate now feared to be above 1 in London, Johnson in his infinite wisdom opens the pubs in England on a Saturday.

My album of the day is "Stanley Road" by Paul Weller. Thought I would listen to this as he is guesting on the Billy Sloan Show tonight on Radio Shortbread. An easy listen, laid back rock, melodic soulful tunes with earthy vocals. Standout tracks are "The Changing Man", "You Do Something To Me" and "Broken Stones", plus the cover of the album is illustrated by Peter Blake.
