Anzac Way

This plaque is in Walton on Thames on the old bridge crossing the Thames which is now a cycle path. There is a very good trail of interesting buildings and people associated with Walton-on-Thames ...info at www.wotta.co.uk . Over the last few months I have visited most of the places itemised. I was amazed to find there had a been a hospital during WW1 specifically for injured New Zealand soldiers, initially those injured at Gallipoli and later from the battlefields in northern France. The clock tower of the hospital is still there nearby.
